Bravo! The North Carolina Symphony ...a real treat at the Statesville Civic Center.

Our North Carolina Symphony gave an outstanding performance at their Holiday Pops Concert at the Statesville Civic Center on Wednesday night. Conductor Joan Landry is wonderful, she captivates her audience with interesting footnotes and antic dotes about the composers and the compositions to be performed. In addition to her personable demeanor, she is super fun to watch as she conducts our world class orchestra. The concert consisted of many holiday favourites as well as less known pieces by Tchaikovsky and Rimsky-Korsakov and a spectacular arrangement by the symphony's own Terry Mizesko. Statesville can be proud to host this event in December. If you missed out this year....be sure not to miss next year..it is a special treat!

Darshana is decorated for the holidays during the entire month of December. This year's tree is a 16 foot Fraser Fir, native to the southern Appalachian Mountains, and this one came from atop a 4,000 foot high mountain in Avery County.
CHRISTMAS HOURS - Darshana is available for tours and parties by appointment only. Please call us to schedule, our calendar is filling up. 704-872-3608.
